Open Burning is Prohibited in Springfield

Open burning is prohibited in the City of Springfield as well as the use of chimeneas and fire pits. There are no circumstances under which it is legal to burn grass, hay, leaves, stumps or construction debris. Outdoor burning is allowed for cooking purposes only.
